FREE!! Heritage Language Day Celebration! Saturday February 27th!

Once again, SOHL (Saskatchewan of Heritage Languages Inc.) is presenting its annual celebrations of International Mother Language Day.
This day, which was proclaimed by UNESCO in 1999 and is celebrated on February 21st each year, is an important commemoration of the world’s linguistic and cultural diversity. It is a day that we observe to unify all language communities with understanding and tolerance of each other's similarities and differences.
This year, the Regina celebration is scheduled for Saturday, February 27th,
and will be held at the Balfour Collegiate Auditorium
from 1-3pm.
The event features a number of performances from cultures across the globe that thrive right here in our province!
Local language schools and cultural groups will perform songs and dances from their unique traditions;
performances will be followed by food samplings from local restaurants to top off the experience.
A family friendly event, with entertainment for all!
