Pop Up Downtown!  Walking Tour and Launch!   September 17/2016!  

Pop Up Downtown is a yearly public-art series that installs original art works into storefront windows and unused spaces throughout Regina’s downtown core.  Pop Up Downtown is installing eight original art works into storefront windows throughout Regina’s downtown core, in the fall of 2016.

This project was initiated and curated by Katherine Boyer and the Creative City Centre in 2013, curated by Lydia Miliokis in 2014, Terri Fidelak in 2015 and in 2016 has been under the capable guidance of Amber Phelps Bondaroff, the artist in residence for Regina’s downtown.

2016 marks the project’s fourth season, and is presented in partnership between Regina Downtown Business Improvement District (RDBID) and the Creative City Centre.

Guided walking tour, project launch and reception will be taking place on:

the evening of Saturday September 17th

starting at 7 pm.

Project curator Amber Phelps Bondaroff and select artists will be present to speak about the work, answer questions and have a nice walk through downtown Regina with whoever wants to join in!

Walking tour: Free, all ages, wheel chair accessible.

7 pm: Meet @ Salt Studio – #160 -2002 Victoria Ave (ground level of Avord tower, next to Atlantis Coffee)

Tour will last approximately 1.5hrs – and will end at the Creative City Centre.

Reception/After Party: 9pm – Creative City Centre – 1843 Hamiltion St.
Free, all ages, not wheel chair accessible.
